Short: v1.1 of an HTML editor
Author: Esteve Boix <axe@arrakis.es>
Type: comm/www
Uploader: Esteve Boix <axe@arrakis.es>
Version: 1.1
Replaces: WebPlugv10.lha
WebPlug is a MUI-based HTML editor for the Amiga.
Features:
-Nice MUI interface for every option of the program.
-Built-in editor, using the Textfield.gadget.
-Can send the current document to any browser (AWeb, IBrowse
and AMosaic are currently supported). Supporting a new browser is
just a matter of creating a new external library for it
(provided this browser features an ARexx port. That's why
Voyager v1.0 or ALynx are not supported).
-Supports most important HTML tags, including some HTML 3.0 and
Netscape® tags, such as <CENTER>, <FONT>, tables...
-Features automatic generation of some entities, such as tables.
Just tell WebPlug that you want a 3x3 table and it will insert
it in the editor.
-Can display images using Datatypes (OS 3.0+ only) or any external
image viewer.
-Localized. English is built-in.
New in v1.1:
-WebPlug handles up to 5 documents in memory at the same time.
-Added support for relative font sizes.
-The editor's font is now user-configurable (use fixed fonts like
XEN/11 whenever it's possible, as the speed refresh is a lot
better than with proportional fonts).
-WebPlug is more clever when asking about clear/replace/save a
text.
-A couple of bugs killed.
-Prefs for the editor (block cursor, blink speed, etc...).
-Some windows can now be opened at the startup.
-New Include menu, that let you include any text in the current
document without having to play with the clipboard.
-WebPlug can remember up to 5 different positions (for each document),
and you can go there whenever you want.
-The toolbar is now placed in it's own window.
-New browser window, that includes some image-buttons for the browser
menu (load browser, send to browser...)
-User-configurable default directory for HTML documents.
-WebPlug is available in several languages.
-Some other little changes.
Requires:
-AmigaDOS v2.0+ (anyway, v3.0+ is _strongly_ recommended).
-MUI v3.2+.
-Textfield.gadget v3.1+ (included in this distribution archive).
-On AmigaDOS v3.0+ is recommended to have GIF and JPEG datatypes, as
WebPlug uses them to know image sizes.
WebPlug is released as Shareware. The fee is _only_ $10, so please consider
registering it if you use it.
